ABOUT EOIN
My name is Eóin Murphy, and I am a Strength & Conditioning coach and personal trainer from Cork, Ireland, with over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry. I hold a BA (Hons) in Exercise & Health Studies from Waterford IT (2013) and an MSc in Strength & Conditioning from LIT (2017). My background in education has given me a deep understanding of how to enhance both health and physical performance.
My passion for fitness stems from my love of football (soccer). Since childhood, I’ve been obsessed with optimizing the body for peak performance. During my soccer career, I won county, provincial, and national titles, with my proudest moment being captaining my city at youth level. I have continued playing throughout my adult years in both Cork and Toronto, contributing to successful, winning teams.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients, from those focused on improving their overall health & well being, weight loss, body recomposition, individuals rehabbing injuries and athletes looking to improve performance.
I began working as a personal trainer in 2013 after the completion of my under grad degree. Here I worked with a couple of performance based gyms in Cork city gaining valuable first hand experience of working with clients and athletes with varying ambitions and motivations. In 2017, I designed strength & conditioning programs for an elite youth GAA (Gaelic football) team, preparing them for their upcoming championship season.
In 2018, I moved to Toronto and began working at one of North America’s most respected health and fitness clubs, located in the busy financial district. There, I gained invaluable experience training busy professionals and working alongside some of the best minds and talents in the industry. Since moving to Canada, I have worked with and consulted for men’s and youth soccer and hockey teams across the city.
Beyond my professional experience in injury rehabilitation, I’ve personally undergone ACL reconstruction—twice. Most recently in 2022, I designed and completed my own rehab program, successfully returning to high-level amateur soccer in Ontario within nine months at the age of 32. This experience gave me a firsthand understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands of long-term injury rehabilitation.
In 2022, I launched Murphy Conditioning to provide high-quality virtual and app-based training. In today’s fast-paced world, time is more valuable than ever, and I’m passionate about delivering structured, personalized training that fits seamlessly into my clients’ schedules. While in-person coaching remains the gold standard, my Murphy Conditioning app allows me to extend my expertise to a wider audience, offering premium training, accountability, structure, and communication—all tailored to individual goals.
